Athletics at Saint Raphael

All Parishioners Are Welcome!

All youth in the St. Raphael parish are invited to join a variety of sports organized in cooperation with the Cleveland Diocese CYO.  Athletics at St. Raphael is a volunteer supported program and only succeeds by the generous contribution of volunteer help through our parish families.  Please consider becoming a volunteer for one of our teams - contact any of the coaches listed below or the Athletic Director, Scott Spicer via email sctt_spcr@yahoo.com, or phone (216) 256-8919.

By closely following a few simple steps your student-athlete can be easily registered and eligible to participate in any of these sports.

Important Note:  All athletes must have on file with St. Raphael CYO a fully completed Pre-participation Form which consists of both a Physical and an Emergency Medical Authorization (EMA) and is found in the Useful Information section on this webpage.  These forms are valid for 13 months from the date of the physician's exam.  Failure to have a current set of forms on file will prevent the athlete from participating in any practice or event.  Forms are to be sent to Paige Taliak, raphaelphysicals@hotmail.com or drop them in the box provided on the front porch located at 3578 Windsong Court, Westlake, Ohio.

Registration:  Register for all sports through SportsPilot.  Be sure to enter the grade the athlete will be in at the time the sport is being played (e.g. for Fall sports, use the grade the student will be going into in the Fall of that year).  Review additional information and requirements for each sport below.  Youth from neighboring parishes that do not offer a specific sport may join the St. Raphael team for that sport by additionally completing and having approved the Eligibility Request Form (ERF) found in the Useful Information section. The ERF must be signed by the Athletic Director at your home parish and then sent to the Athletic Director (Scott Spicer) at St. Raphael.
