Offered to girls in 4th through 8th grade. Registration will close August 5th. Girls will cheer at the 7th and 8th grade CYO football games on Sundays starting in late August and going through October. Games will be all over northeast Ohio. Practices will be held 1-2 times a week, outdoors. A uniform fitting will be held over the summer. A "cheer camp" will be held in late August to learn all the cheers. $100 registration fee plus additional $125 for uniform accessories that the girls will keep. No experience necessary. An assistant coach is needed. You must be CYO certified to coach. There are 3 CYO coach certification classes offered over the summer.

Offered for boys and girls who will be in grades 3-8 in the Fall who enjoy running, would like to get in shape or like a team sport. No prior experience needed and all are welcome. Practice starts in August and is held at Cahoon Park in Bay Village, 4 times per week at 6:00-7:00pm in August and then 3 times per week (Tue, Wed, Thu) in September from 6:00-7:00. Meets are held every weekend in September and October on either Saturday or Sunday at various locations in the Greater Cleveland area. All participants run, regardless of ability in meets. Please note the dates for registration and review and complete all actions listed in the points below. Register using the grade your athlete WILL BE in the FALL.

Open to all boys and girls in grades 1-4. Play is 7 on 7 on a shorter/narrower field of play. Emphasis is on skill development, safety, participation and fun! Targeted rosters of 10-12 players on each team. We will create more than one team per grade depending on interest, so register early! Multiple coaches are needed for every team. We do not have designated flag football coaches so volunteers are needed. No prior experience required but all coaches must be CYO certified. See the Cleveland CYO website for the requirements to becoming a CYO certified coach. Practices are at the discretion of the coaches. Games are typically on Saturday mornings. Cost is $95.

Tackle Football
Open to all boys in grades 7-8, 11 vs 11, full field. Boys in the 6th grade play in a league with other 6th grade teams, 11 on 11, full field. Boys in grades 7 and 8 are combined to create a single varsity team. Practices will begin late July/ Early August and are held 5 nights a week and maybe Saturdays in August. Once school and games begin practices will move to Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and sometimes on Saturday.
Rookie Tackle Football
Open to all boys in grades 5-6. Now offered Diocese-wide after successful pilot program last Fall. Modified rules following USAFootball/NFL guidelines, including 7-on7, shorter/narrower field of play, and emphasis on skill development, safety, participation, and fun! 5th and 6th grades grades will be placed on separate teams with targeted rosters of 10-12 players on each. We will create more than one team per grade depending on interest, so register early! Coaches needed, no prior experience required, training and certification provided.

In grades 3-5, teams are set up with equal talent and height with an emphasis on development. No league standings are kept but teams can enter 1-2 tournaments. In grades 6-8, teams are set up as A/B based on talent and skill. League standings are kept and teams can enter 2-3 tournaments in addition to regular season games. 8th grade girls have a city-wide tournament at the end of the season.

Offered for grades 4-8. Practices start in March in the St. Raphael gym and move outdoors to Bay Village City fields as weather permits. Practices are held 2-3 times each week. Grades 4- 6 are more instructional while the 7/8 grade is more competitive. Teams play 10-12 games which are held after school or on weekends at various west side locations and the season runs through the middle of May. Coaches are needed for all grades.

The Athletic Commission promotes, coordinates and finances athletic programs at St. Raphael parish to provide wholesome opportunities for parish youth to develop favorable habits and attitudes of social living. We hope to fulfill this purpose with several objectives in mind:
- To aid in the moral, physical and athletic development of parish youth, both as individuals and as members of a team
- To encourage and maintain interest in parish athletic programs and to provide an opportunity for all interested parish youth to participate in athletics
- To provide safe and adequate fields, equipment and facilities for the use of parish athletes and teams
- To provide proper supervision and coaching for parish youth engaged in parish athletics
